Strong Viking, the ultimate challenge, is looking for enthusiastic volunteers! The Strong Viking Obstacle Run has been voted the best obstacle run in the Netherlands six years in a row and is now the largest obstacle run organization in Europe. We organize events in the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium, and your help is invaluable!

We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers who want to join our Crewmember team to organize together the best obstacle runs in the world. What does a day as a Strong Viking Crew Member look like?
It is an early morning and you are looking forward to it. Full of good spirits and a good portion of enthusiasm, we will see you between 7:30 and 8:00 am at the Strong Viking event. The day starts with a short check-in, getting to know your colleagues for the day, explanation of tasks by your coordinator and then you will be taken to your post.
From 8:30 am the real work starts and you will be working at one of the following places: registration tent, checkroom, start boxes, on the course, finish tent or the medal point. One thing is guaranteed: you are going to see and cheer on lots of muddied Vikings.
At 6:30 p.m. your work day will be about over and you will look back on a fun and varied day that flew by. You met fantastic people and gave participants the day of their lives. You go home satisfied, but not empty-handed. Your hard work may be voluntary, but we are super grateful to you!
But what do you get? Well… We give you a free ticket to a Strong Viking edition of your choice, a Nutrition package, a Strong Viking sports shirt so you can start training right away, and an amazing experience and deep respect from all Strong Vikings!
How do I sign up to be a Strong Viking Crew Member?
How great that you want to sign up as a Strong Viking Crew Member! We are extremely excited to have you join our team. As a crew member you are a vital link in the success of our events! Via the application form you can easily indicate at which event and on which day you want to join our team.
We have another fantastic season full of challenging obstacle runs and fun family runs planned for 2025. Whether you enjoy helping out during our classic Strong Viking editions or want to contribute to the unforgettable experiences of our youngest vikings, there is always a place for you on our team!
Within one week after your application we will send you an email with more information.

What tasks can you do as a Strong Viking Crew Member?
Registration Tent
You are the first face participants see on the day of the event. At the start, you’ll help them pick up their starting tape. You might even speak a few motivational words to give them extra energy for their run!
Parcours employee
As a course worker, you will ensure that the course is safe and clear. You show participants the way, encourage them and offer a helping hand when they have to overcome an obstacle. Thanks to you, they can keep going safely and full of energy!
Refreshment station
Keep the runners going! At the feeding station you provide food, drinks, and a boost of motivation. Participants will thank you with a smile before running on.
Finish tent
Tired but proud, participants collect their finisher jersey here. You hand out the right size, cheer them on, and send them off smiling—sometimes with a beer in hand.
Handing out medals
Multiple-time Vikings earn their medal at the finish. You’re the first to congratulate them and make sure they go home even prouder.
