On Saturday 18 & Sunday 19 April 2020 the Strong Viking Obstacle Run is back in Belgium! Are you ready for the Mud Edition in Puyenbroeck, near Ghent?
After 1000 years the Vikings are back in Belgium! This edition takes place in the terrain of the Provinciaal Domein in Puyenbroeck, near the city of Ghent. At this very location, where the Vikings fought with King Boudewijn I of Flanders, you will have to conquer a track of 4, 7, 13, 19 or 42km filled with mud & Viking-themed obstacles! Are you and your friends not afraid to get a little dirty?

Each start wave is named after a Viking god/goddess or king and has a different start time. This is to let you know at what time you must begin. Start waves also have varying distances between 42, 19, 13 or 7km.
For the Family Editions startwaves are designated by color according to their start time and vary in distance between 3 and 5km
The minimum participation age varies according to the distances:
4km - Family Run: min. age 5 years old (or becomes 5 in that calender year)
4km - Beginning: min. 14 years old (or becomes 14 in that calender year)
8km: min. age 14 years old (or becomes 14 in that calender year)
13km: min. age 14 years old (or becomes 14 in that calender year)
19km and OCR Series: min. age 16 years old (or becomes 16 in that calender year)
42km Iron Viking: min. age 18 years old
60km Ultra Viking: min. age 18 years old
After the event it is possible to wash off/shower in separate shower areas for men and women (except Family Edition). However, there are no closed shower cabins.
Yes, every participant receives a number on a wristband with which he/she can drop-off their bag in a guarded baggage room.*
Be advised, only 1 bag allowed per participant!
*Leaving your bag is always at your own risk.
Yes, there are separate changing rooms for men and women at the event.
