The Toughest Marathon in the World comes to new terrain in the surroundings of Frankfurt am Main! Are you Strong Enough to conquer the 42km track with 100+ obstacles during the Iron Viking in Wächtersbach?
We will be waiting for you on Saturday the 9th of June 2018 for 42km and 100+ obstacles in the beautiful forested landscape near Frankfurt am Main. Heightmeters, mud and spectacular obstacles that will put your mental and physical strength to the test; if you can conquer this you can do anything! The Iron Viking takes place during the Strong Viking Water Edition, here participants have the choice between 7km, 13km & 19km distances. Please note: only a limited amount of tickets available!
Be advised: the maximum time to complete the Iron Viking is 7,5 hours.

After very run you receive a Torque band. Collecting these bands allows you to earn your medal(s). There are different Strong Viking medals and every medal has its own conditions. Choose the medal you want to earn, check the necessary distances you need to complete and take the challenge. For more information on the different medals please CLICK HERE.
During the Strong Viking events there is no time registration for regular startwaves. The important thing is to cross the finishline together, time here is of little importance. Did you participate in an OCR Series Race wave? Then check your results on www.ocrseries.com
The minimum participation age varies according to the distances:
3km: min. age 5 years old (or becomes 5 in that calender year)
5km: min. age 10 years old (or becomes 10 in that calender year)
7 and 13 km: min. age 14 years old (or becomes 14 in that calender year)
19 km and OCR Series: min. age 16 years old (or becomes 16 in that calender year)
Iron Viking (42km): min. age 18 years old
Ultra Viking (60km): min. age 18 years old
Yes! During the run there are a number of refreshments posts with water and Herbalife Nutrition drinks and power bars. Click here to see the products/ingredients. In addition, there is also a Red Bull Energypoint where you can enjoy Red Bull mixed with water to provide you with extra energy to complete the course.
For Iron Vikings there is the possibility to leave your own extra nutrition at a designated spot on the track.
After the event it is possible to wash off/shower in separate shower areas for men and women (except Family Edition). However, there are no closed shower cabins.
