Get ready for some serious mountains at the Strong Viking Hills Edition in Cologne! Are you and your friends ready for conquer the most challenging Hills Edition yet?
Forest, grassland and high altitudes – that is what awaits at the Hills Edition 2017 in the Bergische Land. The first Hills Edition in Germany takes place at the beautiful Bielstein near Cologne and less than 1.5 hours from the Dutch border.
You will find the ultimate Strong Viking challenge on the 7, 13 or 19km course, with spectacular obstacles and varying altitudes. The track runs through the motocross terrain of the MCS Bielstein e.V. and offers the perfect opportunity to escape your everyday life.

The minimum participation age varies according to the distances:
4km - Family Run: min. age 5 years old (or becomes 5 in that calender year)
4km - Beginning: min. 14 years old (or becomes 14 in that calender year)
7km: min. age 14 years old (or becomes 14 in that calender year)
13km: min. age 14 years old (or becomes 14 in that calender year)
19km and OCR Series: min. age 16 years old (or becomes 16 in that calender year)
42km Iron Viking: min. age 18 years old
60km Ultra Viking: min. age 18 years old
Of course, you are very welcome to come and encourage the participants! Entrance to the area is free and open from 8:30am.
Yes! During the run there are a number of refreshments posts with water and Herbalife Nutrition drinks and power bars. Click here to see the products/ingredients. In addition, there is also a Red Bull Energypoint where you can enjoy Red Bull mixed with water to provide you with extra energy to complete the course.
For Iron Vikings there is the possibility to leave your own extra nutrition at a designated spot on the track.
After the event it is possible to wash off/shower in separate shower areas for men and women (except Family Edition). However, there are no closed shower cabins.
Yes, there are separate changing rooms for men and women at the event.
