Every year there are a few medals that you can earn, every medal stands for another achievement. Of course, the designs of the medals didn’t come out of thin air. Every medal has its own Viking Story. Starting with the Viking Medal.

After conquering two Strong Viking runs with at least Lightning (7km) distance you have earned if for sure, the one and only Viking Medal. The name Strong Viking gives away a lot, we breathe by the history of the Vikings. Viking stories are the base of everything, from our philosophy to our obstacles, Vikings are everywhere! Vikings are often described with the terms strong, tough, adventurous and brothers. These are qualities you most definitely possess if you have earned this Viking medal! Don’t give up, conqueror your fears! Strong Viking is not a race, but a challenge!

Strong Vikings mission is to make you physically and mentally stronger. We are doing this by challenging you to push your limits every time! Everyone will face their own personal challenge(s) during the run.
Afraid of heights? There you go, jump and fly with the Flying Ragnar!
Afraid of getting dirty? LOTS of mud!
Always cold? A nice bath full of ice at the Iceman!
Afraid you won’t be able to do this? A start wave full of brothers who are going to reach the finish together with you!

Whatever your challenge is, you are taking it on together! ‘We leave no Viking behind!’ Like the real Vikings you are starting your battle shoulder by shoulder and you will be finishing shoulder by shoulder, while being encouraged by your fellow Vikings! OORAH! You did it!

This makes the Viking Medal the ultimate first medal to earn after conquering two Strong Viking Runs! Celebrate it with a beer in Walhalla! The place for the bravest warriors and Viking Gods. After this victory you can wash away the mud. Despite the common perception of Vikings as savages, they were actually pretty vain. So no worries, wash away the mud, the mud is not the proof of your achievement, your Viking Medal is!
