V-Test: Make it your story!
Do you remember.... Ploughing through the mud together, flying from the Fjord Drop and climbing the steps to Valhalla via each other's shoulders? What was once so obvious is now more than a year behind us. With the loss of our events, a real training goal for many of you also disappeared. The closing down of sports clubs and gyms only increased the lack of motivation for many. Since we as Vikings never give up and have the goal to make people physically and mentally stronger every day, we came up with the Virtual Editions. Now that you cannot come to us, we will come to you! For many of you, the Virtual Editions proved to be a visible goal to work towards again. The sport shoes were taken out of the closet, the dust was blown off the exercise bikes and homemade pull-up bars popped up like daisies.
Your motivation provided us with new inspiration! Therefore we proudly present our newest concept: the V-Test! The V-Test is derived from the worldwide military entry requirements and developed with the knowledge and experience of the Strong Viking team.
Because the real question is, how fit are you (still)? Not only Corona times, but also afterwards we thought it would be interesting to be able to give participants a measurement possibility. What is your fitness level, compared to peers around the world? The V-Test will guide you step by step to the best version of yourself! Whether you already get tired at the thought of putting on your running shoes or if you were prepared for the start of the Olympic Games. This is your new challenge! From the comfort of your own living room or in the outdoors, it's all possible! You start this challenge with a baseline measurement, so you immediately know how fit you are and how much corona laziness has taken hold of you. Based on your baseline measurement you will receive a personalised six-week training schedule. The schedule consists of two training sessions per week of about 30 minutes each. The beauty of it all is, you don't need any attributes, it can be done anywhere. Are you super motivated or are you mostly bored? You can repeat the training sessions and thus train more frequently in one week. But don't forget that rest is also an important part of training! For six weeks you will work with your personal training schedule, on your way to becoming the best version of yourself. After six weeks the day has come: the V-test! Now you will see how much fitter you have become in the past six weeks. Time to go to the max!
The final V-Test consists of the following parts:
2 min. – Push-ups
2 min. rest
2 min – Sit-ups
2 min. rest
2 min. – Pull-ups
2 min. rest
12 min. – Coopertest!
After completing the test, you will receive your level, a digital certificate, training shirt and possibly your DogTag with scores!
