Recept for Sport Cookies
As a Viking you’re undoubtedly a real tough cookie that always carries the right fuel along, to overcome the obstacles and to recover properly.
Generally speaking, the longer you have time to digest your meal before the start of your run, the bigger your meal can be. If you're about to start your run or workout within an hour, it's better to take a small snack rather than a whole meal.
There are several snacks that you can take in your bag or give to your spectators to fuel you on the go. As long as they contain enough energy in the form of slow carbohydrates and proteins, such as these delicious sport cookies, you can be assured of optimal performance.
Since carbohydrates are important for your body's engine, what you eat for your workout must contain relatively high amounts of carbohydrates. In addition, it is also good to eat some proteins. They will slow down your digestion just that little bit, so that the carbohydrates can enter your bloodstream a little slower and more evenly.
With the products of Herbalife Nutrition you can prepare delicious recipes that optimally support your run in terms of nutrition.
