NEW: 4km BEGINNING!

Since the start of Strong Viking in 2013 our editions are not a race, but a challenge. It’s all about breaking your boundaries and conquering obstacles together. Get off the couch and take on your personal challenge! A very important aspect of Strong Viking is FUN! To introduce the less experienced athletes with Strong Viking we are introducing a new distance next year: BEGINNING (4km).

Especially for all starting athletes, doubters and/or friends who are not convinced (yet). Actually for everyone who is not looking forward to the seven long kilometres, the solution is almost here! BEGINNING: the starting point of your Strong Viking journey to Walhalla. It consist of a 4km track with cool and fun obstacles. The obstacles you will face are selected especially for this new distance. All these obstacles will be fun to conqueror and focussed on collaboration. You won’t see any extremely hard or though obstacles. It requires no technical training and above all it offers a lot of fun.

This new distance is the perfect way to get in touch with Strong Viking, the obstacles, the mud and the entire Viking vibe. You can already participate in Strong Viking ‘BEGINNING’ from € 39,50 (including finisher shirt and a finish beer/water). BEGINNING counts as a run for the regular medals! The minimum age is the same as for Lightning (7km) and Warrior (13km); 14 years. So if you are addicted to Strong Viking after the BEGINNING, you can scale up your distance the next time!

BEGINNING is for all Vikings of 14 years and older. So what is in store for all Vikings under the age of 14? The Family Edition is also being renewed in 2020. Our cool little Vikings will be more involved in the regular Strong Viking Editions. In 2019 we already had our first mixed Editions and it was a huge success. So we are continuing this idea next year. There will be more mixed Editions in 2020 and because of that there will be more Family Editions next year! All Vikings with the age of 5 and older can participate in the Family 4km! A super cool track with obstacles that are perfect for all little Vikings. Besides kids can already participate for just € 19,50 (including finisher shirt, medal and finish beer/water). The current Flash (3km) and Spark (5km) are not returning next year and are combined in the Family (4km).

Of course we continue to offer challenges to our experiences Vikings. Next to Beginning (4km), Lightning (7k), Warrior (13km) and Beast (19km) we have introduces some extreme challenge for our Vikings who couldn’t get enough. Since the start in 2013 we have introduced the legendary Iron Viking (42). Followed by the OCR Series (19km race) and to surpass it all the most extreme Strong Viking challenge ever: Ultra Viking (60km).

So, 2020 will offer a challenge for everyone! Gather your friends, family or colleagues and convince them to experience the real Strong Viking together! Beginning is suitable for everyone, even when you have never seen a gym from the inside in your life. Challenge them and #BeViking!
